La Biblia ha servido de inspiración para muchos tipos de producciones, una de los primeros trabajos de Dreamworks se basó en la conocida historia de Moises y el libro del Éxodo. Se estrenó en 1998. Fue dirigida por Brenda Chapman, Simon Wells y Steve Hickner.

Sinopsis: En el antiguo Egipto, vemos como una madre para salvar a su hijo de la muerte decide ponerlo en una canasta en el río. Este llevado por la corriente será recibido por la Reina egipcia, quien lo adoptará. Ya luego este hijo, llamado Moises, se enterara de sus orígenes trayendo consigo cambios; a su vez, Dios le pedirá una gran misión.

Synopsis: In ancient Egypt, we see how a mother, in order to save her son from death, decides to put him in a basket in the river. Es una adaptación animada que si bien agarra mucho de la historia en que se basa también pone énfasis a la relación que Moises tiene con su hermano Ramses. Obviamente si ya conoces en lo que se basa, no hay muchas sorpresas, pero aún así tiene momentos entretenidos, como los musicales o las famosas escenas en el mar o plagas.

It is an animated adaptation that although it takes much of the story on which it is based, it also emphasizes the relationship that Moses has with his brother Ramses. Obviously if you already know what it is based on, there are not many surprises, but it still has entertaining moments, such as the musicals or the famous scenes at sea or plagues.

La animación 2d es de una gran calidad y no se le notan los años; tal vez el juego de colores sea lo que menos me convenza. En el lado musical, tenemos varias canciones que acompañan a la historia, son buenas pero no tan memorables.

The 2d animation is of a great quality and you can't notice the years; maybe the play of colors is what convinces me the least. On the musical side, we have several songs that accompany the story, they are good but not that memorable.

No creo que pueda escribir mucho más, ya que es una película con una trama conocida, pero lo desarrollan bastante bien, con buena animación y escenas memorables. Recomendada.

I don't think I can write much more, since it's a movie with a known plot, but they develop it quite well, with good animation and memorable scenes. Recommended.
