Me gusta el fútbol, y el equipo del que soy fan es el Real Madrid, desde el 2012 he comenzado a seguir con fuerza a este equipo; sin embargo, nunca pude saber mucho del caso Figo, un caso que asombró al mundo, ya que se transfirió a uno de los mejores jugadores del momento(sino el mejor) del equipo rival Barcelona, al Real Madrid. Este documental nos cuenta los pormenores del caso. Estrenada hace poco en Netflix. Los directores son David Tryhorn y Ben Nicholas.

I like soccer, and the team I am a fan of is Real Madrid, since 2012 I have started to follow this team strongly; however, I could never know much about the Figo case, a case that astonished the world, since one of the best players of the moment (if not the best) was transferred from the rival team Barcelona, to Real Madrid. This documentary tells us the ins and outs of the case. Recently released on Netflix. The directors are David Tryhorn and Ben Nicholas.

Sinopsis: En los inicios del nuevo siglo, Luis Figo destacaba como un gran jugador de fútbol del FC Barcelona. Es en esas fechas que Florentino Perez, un postulante a la presidencia del Real Madrid, toma como decisión para ganar las elecciones, conseguir al jugador y traspasarlo. Se muestran todos los pasos que se dieron para que sucediera lo impensable.

Synopsis: At the beginning of the new century, Luis Figo stood out as a great soccer player of FC Barcelona. It is at that time that Florentino Perez, a candidate for the presidency of Real Madrid, takes as a decision to win the election, get the player and transfer him. En este documental, no solo veremos videos de la época mostrando el caso de manera cronológica, sino que muchos de los actores involucrados contarán su parte de los hechos, entre ellos: Figo, Florentino, Guardiola, Joan Gaspart, Roberto Carlos, etc. Es interesante como cada persona involucrada tiene una visión particular de los hechos.

Figo al ser la persona principal involucrada, describe mucho del sentir que tenía en esos momentos, y que si él consideraba lo hecho como una traición. A su vez, el impacto que tendría este suceso generó diversas consecuencias en ambos equipos y en el mundo del fútbol.

El ritmo con que está desarrollado el documental es bueno, y a mi parecer, es entretenido, si te interesa el caso. Para no conocedores del fútbol o no interesados del caso, desaconsejo verlo, ya que solo trata del caso en sí. Hubiera sido interesante ver un careo entre las personas involucradas, pero supongo la reticencia de varios de ellos

The pace with which the documentary is developed is good, and in my opinion, it is entertaining, if you are interested in the case. For those who do not know about soccer or are not interested in the case, I advise against watching it, since it only deals with the case itself. It would have been interesting to see a confrontation between the people involved, but I guess the reluctance of several of them.

En general, el caso por sus dimensiones y los diversos pasos que se dieron para lograrlo es interesante, sumado al escuchar a sus protagonistas, acaba funcionando.
