Ya tocaba actualizarse con las películas de Marvel, que si bien ya no genera tanta expectativa como en las etapas pasadas, aun así es interesante ver los resultados, especialmente con personajes ya conocidos, como es en este caso el Doctor Strange y la Bruja Escarlata. Se estrenó este año, siendo director Sam Raimi.

It was time for an update on Marvel movies, which although they no longer generate as much expectation as in the past, it is still interesting to see the results, especially with characters already known, as in this case Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch. It was released this year, being director Sam Raimi.

Sinopsis: Doctor Strange ha tenido un sueño extraño, donde se ve junto a una muchacha en una lucha con un monstruo. Al día siguiente, en medio de una batalla con un monstruo, reconoce a la muchacha, América Chavez. Ella tiene la capacidad de cruzar dimensiones, esto la vuelve el objetivo del enemigo más inesperado. Doctor Strange tendrá que buscar una solución a todo ello.

Synopsis: Doctor Strange has had a strange dream, where he sees himself with a girl in a fight with a monster. The next day, in the middle of a battle with a monster, he recognizes the girl, America Chavez. She has the ability to cross dimensions, which makes her the target of the most unexpected enemy. Doctor Strange will have to find a solution to all this.

Siento que ver la serie WandaVision es casi un requisito para apreciar más esta película, que si bien no es obligatoria, es necesaria para entender los motivos de las acciones de la Bruja Escarlata. La historia que mezcla el deseo irreal de un personaje, con el cruce de dimensiones, versiones alternativas de personajes, etc; lo vuelve entretenido. Sin embargo, a veces jugar con ideas, una más alocada que la otra, hace que pierda un poco de seriedad, y tener que creer sin hacerte muchas preguntas.

I feel that watching the WandaVision series is almost a requirement to appreciate this movie more, which while not mandatory, is necessary to understand the motives behind Scarlet Witch's actions. The story that mixes the unreal desire of a character, with the crossing of dimensions, alternate versions of characters, etc; makes it entertaining. However, sometimes playing with ideas, one more crazy than the other, makes it lose a bit of seriousness, and having to believe without asking yourself many questions.

Por otro lado, no solo tenemos comedia y drama, sino un poco de horror. El problema es que el CGI no da para tanto de lo que quieren hacer, y se notan demasiado las costuras. Supongo que a un público infantil puede asustar, pero alguien que ya ha visto algo más, lo notara raro.

On the other hand, we have not only comedy and drama, but a bit of horror. The problem is that the CGI doesn't allow for as much of what they want to do, and the seams are too noticeable. I guess a child audience might find it scary, but someone who has already seen something else will find it weird.

El CGI como menciono tiene un trabajo en ciertos puntos raros, pero en otros destacable. Las escenas de acción son diversas y varias de ellas bastante llamativas. Incluso me pareció original ver cómo se usa la música como arma, en un segmento. Hay algunas sorpresas, que gustarán a los fanáticos del género superhéroe.

The CGI as I mentioned has a work in certain points rare, but in others remarkable. The action scenes are diverse and several of them quite striking. I even found it original to see how music is used as a weapon, in one segment. There are some surprises, which will please fans of the superhero genre.

Me ha gustado la película, pero creo que abarca más de lo que puede agarrar, sintiéndose apresurado. Sin embargo, entretiene y vale la pena darle una oportunidad.
