Mamoru Hosoda es uno de los directores de animación que más le sigo la pista, pues varios de títulos me han gustado bastante como “La chica que saltaba a través del tiempo” o “El niño y la bestia”. Ya he podido ver su último trabajo. Estrenada el 2021. Fue producida por el

Sinopsis: Suzu Naito es una estudiante escolar que tras perder a su madre a una joven edad, la ha vuelto insegura y con poca capacidad para socializar; sin embargo, al entrar a un mundo virtual y mostrarse mediante un avatar llamado Belle, es popular, especialmente por su gran voz. Es en ello, que un día conoce a una especie de monstruo(Dragón), al que intentará conocer poco a poco.

Synopsis: Suzu Naito is a school student who after losing her mother at a young age, has made her insecure and with little ability to socialize; however, by entering a virtual world and showing herself through an avatar named Belle, she is popular, especially for her great voice. It is in this, that one day she meets a kind of monster (Dragon), whom she will try to get to know little by little.

Comenzaré con los puntos positivos, que son principalmente la animación y la música. La animación funciona en los dos niveles que se muestran, uno es el mundo real, con aires de drama. Y el mundo virtual, que recuerda un tanto a otros mundos virtuales ya vistos, en donde los colores y efectos llenan la pantalla. La música al ser un atributo de la protagonista, destaca bastante, con diversas canciones melódicas.

I will start with the positive points, which are mainly the animation and the music. The animation works on the two levels shown, one is the real world, with an air of drama. And the virtual world, which is somewhat reminiscent of other virtual worlds already seen, where colors and effects fill the screen. The music, being an attribute of the protagonist, stands out a lot, with several melodic songs.

Luego de señalar los puntos positivos, pasó a la trama, que es lo que me ha generado una desilusión con este título, pues acaba siendo muy superficial e inconexo. Si bien se trata de mostrar el mundo de la internet con sus puntos negativos, de superficialidad, falso interés y otros; la protagonista y su historia creo que no es la indicada para tratarla, se siente muy poco peso a sus decisiones, y el tramo final es realmente irreal así como que no cierra del todo. Si bien hay personajes secundarios, son poco desarrollados, siendo solo herramientas para el desarrollo de la protagonista. Se llega a un punto en que todo se vuelve muy incoherente, como si todo lo visto pasara sin consecuencia alguna.

After pointing out the positive points, it went on to the plot, which is what has generated me a disappointment with this title, as it ends up being very superficial and disjointed. While it tries to show the world of the internet with its negative points, superficiality, false interest and others; the protagonist and her story I think is not the right one to treat her, I feel very little weight to her decisions, and the final stretch is really unreal as well as it does not close at all. Although there are secondary characters, they are poorly developed, being only tools for the development of the protagonist. It gets to a point where everything becomes very incoherent, as if everything seen happens without any consequence.

Al menos hay algunos momentos cómicos para mejorar un poco la situación y la música con la animación le suma puntos; sin embargo, la trama no debió abarcar bastante si no puedo procesarla de manera correcta.

At least there are some comic moments to improve the situation a bit and the music with the animation adds points; however, the plot should not have covered enough if I can't process it correctly.
