Reseña: Alguien voló sobre el nido del cuco // Review: One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

Revisando otra película que siempre encuentro en tops de mejores películas de la historia. En esta ocasión una que protagoniza Jack Nicholson. Estrenada en 1975, siendo su director Milos Forman.

Revisiting another movie that I always find in tops of best movies in history. This time one starring Jack Nicholson. Released in 1975, being its director Milos Forman.

Sinopsis: Randle McMurphy acaba de ser ingresado a un hospital psiquiátrico. Ahí conocerá a diferentes personas como residentes, enfermeras y doctores; él buscará adaptarse a ese nuevo lugar mientras intenta mantener su espíritu libre. Algo que no le será fácil.

Synopsis: Randle McMurphy has just been admitted to a psychiatric hospital. There he will meet different people such as residents, nurses and doctors; he will try to adapt to this new place while trying to keep his free spirit. Something that will not be easy for him.

Es una mezcla de comedia y drama, mientras muestra el mundo de un hospital psiquiátrico; con sus reglas, hábitos y diferentes personalidades. A la vez, muestra a Randle tratando de librarse de ese lugar. Tiene un tono bastante reflexivo en variadas escenas, especialmente en el tramo final.

It is a mixture of comedy and drama, while showing the world of a psychiatric hospital; with its rules, habits and different personalities. At the same time, it shows Randle trying to free himself from that place. It has a rather reflective tone in several scenes, especially in the final stretch.

Si bien hay escenas bastante interesantes y el tramo final es excelente, ciertas escenas intermedias no llegan a funcionar, incluso se vuelven un tanto tediosas. Tal vez lo mejor hubiera sido reducir la duración.

While there are some interesting scenes and the final stretch is excellent, certain scenes in between don't quite work, and even become a bit tedious. Perhaps the best thing would have been to reduce the length.

La gala de actores es buena, comenzando con Jack Nicholson interpretando al protagonista, pero también vemos a reconocidos actores como Danny DeVito, Christopher Lloyd, Louise Fletcher entre otros. Los aspectos técnicos si bien son correctos, ya se nota demasiado el tiempo que ha pasado desde su estreno.

The cast is good, starting with Jack Nicholson playing the main character, but we also see renowned actors such as Danny DeVito, Christopher Lloyd, Louise Fletcher and others. The technical aspects are correct, but the time that has passed since its release is already too noticeable.

En general, me parece una película que lo mejor se encuentra en ciertas escenas como el tramo final. A su vez guarda una que otra sorpresa. Recomendable.

In general, I think the best scenes of this film are in certain scenes such as the final stretch. At the same time it keeps a surprise or two. Recommended.
