Which way Nigeria?

One of my phone got spoilt some weeks ago and I have been unable to fix it because of time and money. I finally got that time yesterday with some cash and decided to go repair the phone. I wanted my friend to go with me as this was my first time going to such a place and I wanted to make sure I went to the right place.

While waiting for him, he asked me a question that is the reason of this whole post, he asked if I was leaving my other phone at home or taking it along with me. He had asked this question for two reasons, the first being the police. Those guys will arrest you if they see anything they don't understand in your phone and the second reason being that that same morning, one of our neighbors got robbed at the same location we were about to go to and the whole thing just makes me want to ask, which way Nigeria?

I don't know which was more scary, the fact that I couldn't freely move around with my phone without the fear of being searched and arrested for something I know nothing of or the fact that the country is so messed up that you could get robbed right in front of other passerby in broad daylight and no one will stop to come to your rescue. The police who were suppose to do that are somewhere harassing a young innocent man, hoping to get some money out of him.

But you see, I had to go with my phone so I did the only thing I could do, I brought out my phone and started to delete anything I felt they might find suspicious, especially the dollar picture I had downloaded from unsplash to use on one of my previous posts.

The country is rotten, and the only thing we can do for now is learn how to survive in it because if you don't, it might end up killing you.

Hmmm my dear it a pity how corruption has grown to this level and this is a country we all find ourselves in, like you said we all need to learn how to survive

We want to protect ourselves now and not fight for our right because dose that are supposed to support us when we want to fight for theses right are also scared of their lives.
We are in God's hands.
