The University

My dad used to tell me that in the much older days, before a kid was found eligible to go to school, they had to cross their hands above their head and then try to touch their other ear with it. They believe that if a kids hand wasn’t long enough to cross over his or her head and then touch the ear at the other side, then that kid wasn’t old enough to be sent to school.

I guess it was that rule or believe that made it that before we see anyone getting into the university back in the days, they were probably in their mid twenties. You could hardly see a kid of sixteen years just like we see this days in the higher institutions.

And don’t get me wrong, I’m not against younglings with hot brains from going to the university, I just feel like some of this kids should be with their parents some more because the reality is that some of them are not yet ready for the real world yet, a world of drugs and all sort of bad things. Sending a young kid miles away from home to go live on their own all in the name of schooling can be very risky and yes I know life is full of risk but sometimes we have to take calculated risk.

Little kids at the age of sixteen could easily be influenced by people and then they could be introduced to some really bad things like robbery, cultism and the list goes on and on. Most of which would have easily been avoided if the kid was a little bit grown and wiser.

So like I said, I’m not entirely against the idea of sending your kid to school because they’re smart and brilliant but the university can be a very dangerous place so if you want to do that, make sure to sit them down and talk a lot of sense into their head.

PS : All of my post is made with the mentality based on the country where I’m from.. So if it’s dangerous here, it might not really be dangerous over there where you are.
