The Struggle

Hey guys, so it's another day where I get to tell you guys how my day went (I think I should turn this into a series or something). And the reason why I've decided to make this post instead of some other post that I initially wanted to write was because of something I saw today that normally I wouldn't have taken a second look at, but for some reason I just can't forget about it.

So it's Saturday, and unfortunately I have classes on Saturday's. We've tried moving it to other days of the week but these lecturers are stubborn and they insist on the class happening on Saturday because that is when they will be free.

Well I took my bath and rushed to school. One of my most precious possessions in this school is my face cap and this is simply because, according to my calculations, the sun is way more closer to this part of the earth. It is what I believe and there's nothing anybody can tell me that will change what I believe. Because that is the only logical explanation why it gets so hot like this around 11 o'clock in the morning.

Well I got to class which lasted about an hour, then I went for another class but it turned out the lecturer wasn't in the mood to lecture. All he wanted to do was just give out textbooks to those who've paid and seeing how I wasn't one of them, I decided to head home. The time was now 1pm when I started to go home and trust me when I say this guys, the sun was on steroids. If you had brought out a bowl of water outside and left it for some minutes, it probably would have been hot enough for you to have a warm bath.

It was soo hot that even my cap became useless. So I did the only thing I could do, I increased my pace. I couldn't run because I already was sweating like an idiot, running would have made everything worse. Anyways, just as I got to the school gate, I saw something that melted my heart. Right there on his motorcycle, right in front of the school gate was an elderly man who clearly was trying his best not to fall off his motorcycle because of how he was dozing off.

The man was a commercial motorcyclist who was sitting on his bike under the sun while waiting for students to come out of the school to board his motorcycle. The whole thing made me so sad that I wished I had some money on me, at least enough to make him go home to take a nap for that afternoon. Unfortunately I wasn't even with enough money to get a ride home, so all I could do was just walk past him and go home.

And for some reason, that whole scene has refused to leave my mind and I don't know why.
