Small Circle

Growing up, I've always thought I needed a lot of friends to be happy, because I always thought that having a lot of friends automatically meant we could easily solve each others problems, which also meant that we won't be having any problems at all.

This was my view on life back then and I really thought it would work until I left home and started to really mingle with people, that was when I realized that there are some things about life that you don't get taught, you learn them yourself as time goes on and as you begin to meet different kind of people.

I soon learned quickly that having a small circle with real friends in it is far more better than having a big circle of friends where no one has your back when you need them. As a kid, I wanted to be everyone's favorite and be the one guy who knew everyone and would probably spend ten, twenty minutes greeting everyone when I walk into a room full of people, but the older I got, the quicker I realized that that kind of life isn't one I should be after.

Because the truth is having too many friends and that kind of attention will most times just end up putting you in trouble, because there tend to be little or no control in a place filled with too many people, you probably also would get in a lot of trouble because you will probably be out there, trying to help all of your friends with their various problems, that potentially could also land you in trouble.

But when your circle is small, it makes it easy for you guys to connect and make everyone a close friend, everything just kinda has its rightful place and everything goes smoothly. There would be no chaos and even if trouble comes, it will be easy to handle and bring under control.

If you ask me, knowing a lot of people is good, it will come in handy in some situations (I speak from experience) but having few friends is very vital. I'm not saying you shouldn't have a lot of friends, you can go for it if that's what you really want, but just know that a lot of friends automatically means a lot of people knowing about your business, if you're cool with that then go for it.

This is why I dislike having too many friends
It is normal to have friends but too many of them is not good

I don't fancy making lots of friends too. Men's circle might be different but for women it brings gossip and envy. So i will rather have few genuine friends that we can grow together with financially and otherwise.
