Sit at Home
You know that thing where you sit and just kinda do a mental recount of your day and how productive you had spent that day, I just did one of those just now and trust me when I say I wasn't impressed with today's result.
Today was probably one of the laziest days that I've had in a long time and trust me when I say I've had a lot of lazy days especially during this past week, because my exams had been postponed, meaning I get to stay home for a whole week doing nothing.
Well, what made today extra lazy was because of the sit-at-home order that we had to obey. For those who don't know, in the state where I school (the eastern part of Nigeria), for a while now everyone have been forced to sit at home every Monday because the government had arrested a very important man and had refused to release him even after the court of law had ordered them to.
So with the government refusing to obey the law, this man's followers had decided to impose a curfew on the eastern part of Nigeria every Monday, it's kinda like a way of letting the government know that if their man doesn't get released, things won't be as it used to be. Now some of you might ask that why do we obey this sit-at-home order that wasn't even given by the government, well it's because a lot of people have been killed, properties destroyed just for disobeying the order.
Anyways, having that in mind, I had gone to bed the previous night with no intentions to wake up on time today. So when I eventually got up from bed and saw that it was almost 2pm, I wasn't surprised and one could say I was even impressed. It was a new record for me even though I had woken up earlier in the morning to get some job done before returning back to bed.
Finally getting up by 2pm, the day was almost over for me even though I had only just started my day. I took my bath, got breakfast (or lunch?) and then I just sat back down staring at my phone screen all day. I couldn't go visit my friends and they couldn't come visit me either as we all were scared of getting shot at. So the whole day was spent with me basically just pressing my phone and talking to myself.
So yeah, a day well spent doing nothing.
I would think that you’d be happy about both your exam getting postponed and getting to sit at home all week. Lol it’s a 2 wins in 1, bro.

Sorry to hear about the forced indoor day, man. Me, I’m not forced to stay indoors, but that’s basically how I spend the weekend unless I have something important to do outside. It’s depressing.
I was at first but now that the date is getting closer, I don't know how I feel 😅

The sit at home order is just like a waste of time to me but I can feel their pains...
I would not blame them but some people may not survive if they don't go out to work in a day so imagine telling those kind of people to sit at home

Yeah it's really unfair and that is why some people still go out irrespective of the danger out there. I do hope they're safe.
