Dr Ethan had a smile on his face as he watched Gorge Winston struggle to breath. And even though his own internal organs were threatening to burst out any minute, Ethan still focused his gaze on Winston as he wiggled on floor. Foams were now gathering in his mouth and Ethan knew it was a matter of seconds before they gathered in his too and he cared less. He savored every moment of pain Winston was going through, he had made sure to modify the virus in such a way that it won’t kill Winston immediately, he would experience pain for a while just like his wife did and then he would eventually die.

Few months ago, Dr Ethan was just an ordinary doctor who always looked forward to seeing his wife at home after a long day at work. Everything about his life was almost perfect until Gorge Winston’s wife died during an operation. Dr Ethan had been the one in charge of the operation and Winston had blamed him for his wife’s death.

Gorge Winston had somehow located Ethan’s home and had tied up his wife and waited for Ethan to come back home. When Ethan returned home to find his wife tied up, he had quickly rushed towards her to untie her but Winston had been waiting in the shadows. He had struck Ethan with the gun in his hand and had threatened to kill him and his wife if he didn’t remain still, an order Ethan had disobeyed. He had gone for the gun in Winston’s hand and while both men struggled to get a firm grip on the weapon, the gun went off. They didn’t know the direction the bullet went to until Ethan noticed his wife was unusually quiet. One look at her and his world came crumbling down.

The police had arrived just in time to arrest Winston and when he was sentenced to life in prison, Ethan felt he deserved more, he deserved to die. So Ethan had come up with a plan, a stupid plan one would say, but he was desperate for revenge. Ethan had created an airborne disease and had set it free in a canteen down the street. He had initially injected himself with an antidote so he would be immune to the disease. The place was quarantined and when officers examined the security footage of the place, they noticed that Ethan had been the only one not quarantined.

A search for Ethan was immediately organized. The police went to his home where they found chemical substance that shouldn’t be in his home in the first place. The chemical substance found in his home was enough evidence to let them believe that Ethan had created that virus so they deployed more people for the search of Ethan. Every cctv camera was being monitored and when they finally saw him, he was coming out of the hospital where the infected people were been treated.

Ethan had told the police that he had gone to release the antidote to the infected victims and when asked why he had infected them in the first place since he knew he was going to cure them, Ethan said nothing. He was charge and sentenced to twenty years in prison, a sentence he had happily received, he had no plans of staying there up to a week after all.

Ethan had used his first few days in prison to look for his target, Gorge Winston. And when he found him, Ethan had managed to put a drop of his blood in Winston’s tea. The virus had been in his body all this while, all Ethan needed to activate it was aspirin and the prison had provided him with that that morning.

It had taken about seven minutes for the seizure to kick in and when it did, Ethan watched with pleasure as the murderer of his wife fought for his life. He knew activated the virus in his blood meant he was going to die too, but Ethan was prepared for it, as long as his wife’s death was avenged.
