People can Lie

Earlier today I was thinking about how gullible I am when it comes to lies because I tend to believe people easily if what's coming out of their mouth makes common sense. And it's not the easiest thing to admit to because most people might misunderstand and even call me stupid, but that really isn't the case, or at least I hope it's not.

The reason I feel this way is that I've seen people lie; I've seen people swear on everything they hold dear, only for us to get irrefutable evidence later on to find out that all that they had told us were lies. And most times these discoveries are always shocking to me due to how believable their lies were, and this just made me come to the conclusion I could never work as a detective.

Because no wonder most officers will never believe what you're saying (even when you're being totally honest) because they're used to people lying to them and have now developed some form of thick skin where no lies could penetrate. And why that is bad is that it doesn't always help them make the best decisions all the time because to them, nothing you say any more is the truth, even when you're saying the truth.

This is why it still baffles me today that we still have to rely on these officers interrogation skills to arrest criminals. I mean, one would think that by now, the world leaders would all somehow have funded the invention of a lying machine that can't be broken. This way, the moment one is arrested for interrogation, you get strapped into the machine right away (you don't have to consent to it as long as you're a suspect in the case), and they ask you questions surrounding the case.

Honestly, I feel that would make things a lot easier and would always help reduce the number of innocent people who get locked up for crimes they did not commit. I also think those machines should be used in courtrooms too, where the moment you get sworn in as a witness, you get strapped to the machine and answer truthfully any question you're being asked. Then your lawyer gets to object whenever you're asked a question that doesn't necessarily concern the case being judged.

That way everything gets done properly, and the jury gets to know for a fact who's guilty and lying or who's innocent and telling the truth.

Machine wont be invented, cos the world leaders themselves are the biggest liars

You know what, this could be true. Because making it impossible to lie in court is like shooting themselves in the leg.

Hehe. Sounds funny but I agree with it.

If there were a lie detector machine, proving anything would be very easy.

Our Politicians will never sign the bill of Bringing lie detectors into use,
They are the biggest liers and they would try to avoid it totally,
This idea is so Great but the implementation in Nigeria is here is going to be a big challenge, thousand of people are being sentenced to jail wrongly, many Guilty criminals are roaming freely while the innocent ones are convicted,God will help us o
