Warning : The content of today’s blog might seem like I’m bragging but trust me I’m not, your boy is just really smart and got proper orientation at an early age.
I’ve said it here before and I’m saying it again, The place you grew up always ends up having a very huge impact on your life, the way you think, the way you respond to things and basically the way you do almost everything, if not everything.
I grew up in a ghetto but my dad made sure that we all went to good schools which had kids whose parents are from different classes, the rich, middle class and the poor. And unlike some of the kids in the ghetto, I wasn’t the loud type. I hardly spoke so the older folks saw me as someone with good manners and always kept me close to them and that closeness made me learn and see things from the perspective of matured people as a kid.
And with time, the difference between me and my pairs became obvious when it came to the way we think and spoke. So basically, maturity came early for me as I started to see most things in a different way, I started to ask questions and when I discovered google, I made sure she never had a moment of peace.
A lot of people will say that getting matured mentally at a young age isn’t really a good thing as everything is a process. When you’re matured then you might not fully enjoy your childhood but that’s a lie. I was a kid with knowledge far older than my age yet I still enjoyed every bit of my childhood. The only difference was that the other kids noticed it and unknowingly made me their leader. They wouldn’t admit it but whatever I said then was final and it wasn’t because I was stronger than all of them or way older than them, it was because they felt I was the smartest and knew more than they did so the mantle of leadership automatically fell on me.
And even now that I’m grown, I’ve come to realize that I always carry this aura of respect around me whenever people hear me speak because just like I was as a child, I hardly speak but when I do, they all see sense in it.
Some of you might be wondering why I’m saying all of this, well today’s post was inspired by one of Hive Learners prompt that didn’t qualify to be among the top three. Below is a screenshot of the prompt.
