One Day at a Time

Recently, I've been trying to become a better person by getting rid of a bad habit one day at a time. The other day, I had made myself a promise never to touch any soda for the next one month (I plan on going longer than that), and it's been a week now with me drinking nothing but water, lots of water.

Today, I decided it was time I stopped being lazy, and rather than beg someone to cook for me and then eat when the food is ready, I would learn how to cook myself.

So, instead of going to sit outside with the boys like I usually do whenever someone is helping me out with the food (my excuse has always been that my room was always too hot when cooking), I stayed indoors with them today and watched.

I not only watched, I made sure to participate in everything I could participate in. At one point, they just sat there and gave me instructions on what to do and how to do it.

Today's meal was beans, so it was pretty easy to make because it had just a few steps and a lot of waiting for it to boil, although this person has a unique way of cooking their own kind of beans.

Apparently, according to them, when boiling beans, adding onions to the beans makes it boil a lot faster. Whether this is true or not, I honestly have no idea; it's just a fun fact from my instruction.

Anyway, by the time we were done and I realized how easy it was to prepare beans, I felt a bit ashamed of myself because how could I not know this? Well, one lesson learned, and on to the next one. Hopefully by the time I'm done, I won't only be a lot healthier (due to me stopping the intake of soda), I will also become a master in the kitchen.

Hehe, beans is the Easiest meal to prepare after Rice, it is also my favourite,
You really made a right choice of not taking sodas, those drinks cause more harms than good,

I rarely drink soda. I think it's the waste of money and I don't waste money. I can consider to drink if you give it to me for free.
I also hope that you will be the master of kitchen in the upcoming days.
