On-time is Late

I've always been that guy who loves doing everything on time, or at least I used to be that guy many years ago, until suddenly I discovered that I worked best when it's close to the deadline. I don't know why I do it but I've come to discover that when the deadline to a project or a job is really close, my brain tends to be super active and I just work very well.

It's almost as if deadline was like a drug to me that I got addicted to the very first moment I had a taste of it, and now I no longer do things unless it's getting real close to the deadline. Believe me when I say it's not a good thing to do because you could get stranded and might need help from someone but due to fact that you're on a deadline, there would be no time to ask that other person for help or they might even be busy and wouldn't want to drop all they're doing just to help you.

But you see, my fondness to doing things late doesn't just apply to work, it also happens during my day to day life. They've been countless times where I wake up early because I have a place to be but then I check my time and realize that I still have two hours before the actual time I'm suppose to be at that place, so I go back to bed and sleep.

Then 30 minutes to the agreed time I should be at the place, I wake up and start running everywhere, trying to do multiple things all at once. I often ask myself why I do that to myself but I've never really come up with any answer, but if I'm being honest, I think it's just me being lazy.

Fortunately for me, I still think I haven't gotten too addicted to this drug enough to not be able to stop, so I might do just that, stop. Even though I feel that working very close to the deadline is a way of teaching myself to work under pressure, I don't think it's a habit I should leave unchecked because I do know that being on time is actually far more better than arriving just before the deadline.

It wouldn't be a bad thing if I arrive class thirty minutes early, instead of always walking in with the lecturer all the time.

On-time is five minutes late.

This is a very good habit of yours because the person you are does not value time and time does not allow him to be successful.
