Not Working At All

I remember as kids when we're being asked what we all want to be in the future, our dream jobs, we all would shout at the top of our voices, the famous occupations that we knew, I'm talking about occupations like doctors, engineers and so on. But then as we grew older, the world got more advanced and now we have people who work remotely and make millions. I'm talking about jobs like programming, designs, cybersecurity and the likes, so majority of our dream jobs changed quickly.

But for me, ever since I got over the whole doctor, engineer syndrome, my mind has always been set on one profession. You see, unlike most people out there, I don't dream of a job, I mean I would prefer to sit home all day and still get paid but if I must work, it has to be something that doesn't feel like work, something that I don't have to be so serious doing it even though I'm doing serious work, something in the entertainment industry.

I've once said it here that for a while now, I've always had this urge to be an actor but you see, it doesn't just end there. Truth be told, I would love to work in almost any field in the entertainment industry, from acting all to the way to singing, even though I do not have a great singing voice. Now many of you might want to know why and it's simple, if you've ever watched the behind the scenes of the movies, you will always see how much fun this people get just doing what they love.

The same thing happens in the music studio when making a song. The environment is never hostile and everyone just seem to want to be there. Now I know that what they show us, the behind the scenes isn't everything and maybe there might be one or two moments of someone being an asshole to a coworker or something, but the fact remains that a huge part of making that project is always fun to everyone there and even if you mess up, you get the chance to try again, something doctors don't have.

And yet, these movie stars, this famous musicians and comedians gets recognized and paid the most even though a lot of things were used to enhance their performance and make their music sound great or make the effect in the movie look amazing.

So yeah, if you ask me, that kind of job is the closest to not having to do anything because even though you do do something, it's something you love, it's something fun. And the fun thing about doing fun things is that it no longer feels like work, it just feels like you doing something as easy as breathing. And no, I'm not undermining the work and energy these movie stars or entertainers put into their craft, I'm just saying that there's a certain amount of fun you might experience while working that makes work no longer feel like work anymore, plus you get paid heavily.

That to me sounds like a dream job.

Haha. Good dreams but not going to happen in real life. 🤣.

You love to do that thing where you can get fun. It's a good choice. 🙂.
