My First Mobile Phone Ever

I probably was between the age of 8 and 10 when I got my first ever mobile phone. My dad had gotten a new phone for himself so he had given my eldest brother his old phone and then the little me began to cry, asking for my own phone too. This was during the time of button phones and a lot of people still made use of 3310 back then.

So in a bid to make me happy, my dad had opened his drawer and pulled out one of his really old phones that he no longer use and had given it to me. This phone was so old that the sim card port was no longer working and was irreparable. But at eight years old, I didn't care about that, I only wanted a phone for one reason and one reason only, to play mobile games. And back then that phone had this really cool black and white car race and also the famous snake game.

I remember i would take money from my friends and my brother's friends just so they could play the game on my phone. Having that phone made me kinda like a celebrity amongst my friends and that was why when that phone went missing on my way to church, I felt like my whole world was grumbling.

On our way to church that faithful day, mother had asked me to leave my phone at home but church was always boring and I needed something to keep myself busy with, so I had refused and had taken it along with me. Not knowing that the trouser I had on had a torn pocket and somewhere between getting on and off the bus and walking down to the church, I had misplaced my precious little phone.

I remember crying my eyes out and even refusing to enter the church. My mom had to order my brothers to drag me in, and seeing how I've always been a shy lad who hated having everyone's attention on myself, I had cleaned up my tears and walked into that church like nothing had happened. That day was probably the longest day ever for me in my young life.

That was probably my first ever heartbreak and to be honest, I don't think I've ever felt anything as painful as I felt that day, the day where my first love was lost.

That’s not a good experience and I know when we are young we do things which is not right and we don’t have the sense to understand what is wrong and right. It made you feel good that’s why you did it and you didn’t mean any harm to anybody. So sad that you had lost it must have been hard days for you. I had my first phone when I was 18 😅. I waited for many years to have it.

Anyways good to hear your experience.

It was truly a sad day for me, even though the phone was only good for playing games, I still felt sad for days.

Hahaha
I can imagine what my mum will o to me if that happens since she has told me to drop the phone at home. Well, it was not your fault. You were too happy about the phone then, lol

I guess she actually didn't punish me because she felt losing the phone was punishment enough 😅.

Hehe, That means you have a businessman mind from an early age🤣🤣. It's fair and unfair at the same time.
Losing mobile is one of the painful experiences of a person and I also felt it once and I don't want to face that kind of situation anytime.
