When it comes to Mondays, it's always uneventful for me because all I do all Monday is just sleep, eat and then sleep again. Unlike most people, Monday's are usually my favorite day of the week becauss of the sit at home that is being sanctioned on people who live at the eastern part of Nigeria like I do.

But this Monday had been different though. I had once made a post about how the whole of my hostel is no longer functioning and how we don't even have the basic things like water supply. Well, the entire hostel had picked today of all days to be upset and they had said enough was enough, so today, everyone had come out to find the solutiont to the hostel problems.

The one major problem that we had was the water issue and surprisingly, everyone had been corporative. We had called the guy who was in charge of taking care of our hostel water system and after he had looked at the problem and had given us the total estimate of bills we were to pay, everyone in the hostel had corporated and had all brought out their money. This was a first for me because usually, the people in this hostel are always stingy when it comes to repairs.

They always want the landlord to take care of everything and that was why I had earlier decided when the water system got damaged that I wasn't going to say anything to anybody but just mind my business and not act like I was the only one not getting any water.

Anyways, the people picked today to be really active and we ended up doing a lot of things. We got the water fixed and even got the water tanks that were blown away by heavy breeze and got them fixed too. We did a lot of work today that just made me feel happy because if you read my previous post concerning my hostel, then you would know that I was considering moving out of the hostel as soon as possible.

But seeing how coordinated the people decided to be today, maybe due to the fact that the lack of water affected everyone, there just might be a glimpse of hope for this hostel and I might end up staying for another year and not move out. But for now, let's see how the whole thing goes. If this progress continues, then I'm definitely staying back.

People don't bother to think about problem until someone doing the task. Suppose in the past you only said about problems to the landlord and because of it others got benefit and became more careless. This time you have done the right thing. Unity is strength 😅.

There is strength in unity but not everyone knows that. Some of the occupants in the hostel can be frustrating and uncooperative too.. I'm just we got this one done.

I have read about this your hostel palava in the past. Really a good one that people picked interest in making things right. If they remain coordinated, then there wouldn't be any need for you to move out.. and I hope this happens. You guys still enjoying Monday, God when oo 😂
Lagos people should start their own seat 💺 at home biko 😅
