Maybe Next Time

One funny fact about rejection is that its part of life and yet when people experience rejection, they react as if its something new to them. I feel like if people learn to be a little bit more open minded and know that anything can happen at anytime there will be less disappointments when rejections happens but unfortunately that isn't just possible.

People will always get disappointed and sad when they experience rejections and that is simply because we like being optimistic, it's part of life. Talking about me, I really don't think I've experience a lot of rejections in my life (or maybe I have but just don't remember because there weren't really that important to me) and I think that's probably a sad thing because it means that I've been so good at everything I do that nobody has been able to not give me what I want (which is a good thing) or I just have been playing it really safe all my life and haven't really challenged myself to do things that might trigger rejections from other people (which is bad because it means I've been too comfortable).

I think the last time I got rejected was late last year. One would think it was probably from a lady I was asking out but it was completely a different case. I had applied for a job as a community moderator for a web3 community on discord. It turned out I wasn't the only one interested in the job (as expected). We were given time to try and give them reasons on why they should hire us and that was when I realized that some of this guys were much more qualified that I was.

I still decided to give it my best shot and still compete but alas just when I got to the final stage where I thought I would be picked for the job no matter what, they gave it to someone else. I felt bad even though I knew that me getting the job from the start was 50/50. At the end, they sent a long text on how they loved the way I handled things but the other person was better blah blah blah.

The community folded some few months later though and that was that. I guess it either I get what I want or you close down, lol.

WTF 😳😳😳😳😳 lolz 😂 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 this phrase got me so hard lol 🤣🤣🤣 it is either I get what I want or you close down, lolx that was hilarious 😂...
Everything you said about everyone being optimistic is very true, something you know you are not the only one applying for, you should be open minded that anything can come up and when you get selected fine and if you don't, you won't get to affected but no, we always think we are the best fit for the job but have you seen others performance nooo

Your performance might be the lowest in the test and yet you ascertain urself of getting picked...we need to just be open minded to some harsh realities and we will be hurt less...

The higher our expectations the more the level of hurt and pain we get when it fails but the Lower our expectations the lower the pain and hurt we feel...

I love how you decided to try you luck and I understand why it pained you when you get rejected, had it been immediately you applied for the CMOD, they rejected you immediately you would have been okay because you know you aren't qualified enough but you passing all the stages and left with just one more and you were rejected, I will be sad and unhappy in that case too but I guess your rejection was complimented and that came in form of Shutting down 🤣😂🤐🤐....

Exactly bro.. This is the truth, unfortunately when we find ourselves in this situations, we tend to lean more to the positive side (which is actually a good thing) instead of being 50/50 (which is actually what we all should be doing).

I guess your rejection was complimented and that came in form of Shutting down

They had no idea who they were dealing with 😂

"Maybe Next Time...", I always hear that word every time I get a rejection from the company when I want to be an employee there. I think they've been set that word to rejected people. 😂

(Edited)

That's probably their most polite way to tell you they don't need you 😂
