Locked in

With each day that passes, I find myself spending more and more time in my room. It's almost like I no longer want anyone seeing me outside but that isn't entirely true. Most of my friends work during the day so it's kinda pointless coming outside when there's no one to talk to, also, I remember back at home when I had just finished high-school and was staying at home while everyone when to work, whenever I wanted to make some noise or just go outside, my dad (when he's home and didn't go to work) would advise against it because he said it wasn't a good thing for a man to be seen at home when it's working hours and his mates are out there working.

That made a lot of sense to me for some reason, so whenever the boys are out, I try to stay indoors and would only go out to get stuff that I need and then go back inside until sometime later in the evening when everyone's back and I no longer can fully concentrate on my work because of the distractions outside, so I go out to spend some time with them before returning back inside to either work or sleep.

Anyways, today was a bit different because a lady friend had paid me a surprise visit in my home. I call her a lady friend but she's also my neighbor... Now this isn't common for me because I mostly keep to myself here and rarely allow people into my room, especially my female neighbours for personal reasons. But this lady is a new friend that I made and she hasn't really given me a reason for me not to be friends with her yet, so we're good for now.

And just like me, this lady has a passion for acting but unlike me, she's not lazy about it and ever since she found out that I had some few equipments that she could use, she occasionally pays me some visits, not just to use the equipment but to also get ideas from me concerning acting.

I think I can say she was the highlight of my day today because we ended up doing some little acting (she acted while I directed) which I edited with the little knowledge I have on video editing before falling asleep while she still was there, trying out other acting stuff with the camera.

I had woken up later in the evening to find myself alone in the room. It was either she had sneaked out of the room to not disturb me from sleeping, or my snoring scared her so she had to run for her life.

Anyways, that was basically it for me today and to be fair, compared to most days, today was a bit fun. Hopefully the next time she comes around, I'm bold enough to actually get in front of the camera with her and not just stand behind it.
