Life's Struggles

I know that being a woman isn't an easy task. I recently visited a female friend of mine and I couldn't even stay for as long as I wanted because it was that time of the month for her and she was going through pains. Fortunately for her, her friends were around to help her get whatever it was she needed to at least reduce the period pain.

Her friends saw how terrified I was of the whole thing and they started laughing at me, saying how lucky I was because I am a man and don't have to go through things like that. Of course I tried to argue that there are some pains and struggles we men go through that are much more tougher than period pains and they dared me to mention one. Ladies and gentlemen, I tried but every point I came up with was countered by this female species who obviously were having a good time proving me wrong, even my friend who I had gone to visit was now smiling at the fact that her gender was winning on a conversation that had to do with pain.

Now that I think of it, it was a funny thing because no one should brag about the amount of pain they can endure like it's a good thing, nothing about pain is good. Reminds me of one time during high-school when two of my friends were arguing about who stole the most, like who was the best thief among them. The reality of their argument didn't occur to them until I pointed it out to them and then they both felt embarrassed. The urge to want to win an argument over clouded their sense that they didn't even realize that what they were arguing about wasn't a good thing.

The same thing applies to the menstrual pain argument. I knew that there was no way I was going to win that argument because truly these women go through a lot every month but yet the urge to want to win an argument about pain over clouded my sense of reasoning and by the time I realized what I was doing, it was already too late because the ladies already won and me admitting that It was wrong arguing with them in the first place would have looked like a losers speech so I wished my friend all the best before saying my goodbyes and left for home.
