Learn from Other's Mistake
My dad will always tell us that we don't have to experience everything ourselves before we learn from that thing. He said a wise man is someone who learns from other people's mistake and makes sure not to repeat that same mistake.
I've always been that guy who preaches kindness everywhere I go. I believe that all it takes for there to be paradise on earth is if everyone is kind to one another and that is the simple truth. But unfortunately, the world isn't as we want it to be. There are people out there who are searching for kind people so that they can prey on them.
It's sad because it discourages the message of Kindness that I preach but this is the world we find ourselves in and I've come to realize that in other to avoid being used by those wicked people out there, every once in a while you have to be unkind.
Typing it alone makes me feel bad but I say this because of the lesson I've learnt due to what is currently happening to my neighbor.
I have this next door neighbor who is literally the nicest and kindest person I have ever seen in my life. If the world was a better place and people actually appreciate kind people, we would have a day named after him because of how kind he is. Unfortunately, I've seen his so called friends come and play on his intelligence simply because they know he wouldn't get upset and even if he does, it won't be for long.
I see all of this and sometimes it gets me upset. I've called him a couple of times to ask him why he allows people treat him that way and one response that he gave to me that I will never forget was "This life is nothing. We have to stop being too serious all the time because there's nothing in this life".
He basically was saying that we came to this world with nothing so if we find ourselves in a position where we can help someone, we should do it. It was a saying that actually touched me but then the last thing I want is people playing on my intelligence just because I choose to be a nice person.
None of this is my neighbors fault though, the man is a good man. He just happens to be in a world where the people in it can't appreciate people like him. Unfortunately, for him to stop all of this, he has to first of all being too nice all the time and that's really sad.
I guess it just goes to show that too much of everything is not good.
