Jumpscare

I remember back home, my dad will always scold me whenever I tried to jumpscare him because he always said it wasn't a good thing to do, especially to people of older ages. His reason was that I easily could cause a heart attack for that person and kill them, depending on how severe the heart attack is.

Of course I believed him because I saw a lot of sense in what he said so I stopped doing it to him or my mom and focused on younger people instead. I tormented my siblings whenever I had the chance to by hiding in a corner and then jump out to scare them. But even my dad complained about that too and I think he came up with another reason why I shouldn't be doing that to anyone, so I stopped.

But it's been a couple of years now and the older I get, the more I realize that there are more creative and funnier way to scare someone that just might not give them heart attack. You just have to think outside the box or just do like I always do and go on tiktok to get some really cool ideas.

So I have this friend of mine at the hostel who always refuses to lock his door whenever he goes downstairs. I've preached to him countless times on how dangerous that is, seeing how he easily could get robbed or something even worse could happen.

Anyways, being the caring friend that I am, I decided to teach him a lesson on why it's never a good idea to leave your doors unlocked. I had waited for the perfect time and so on this particular day, I saw him close his door (but didn't lock him as usual) and ran downstairs to go get something.

I immediately got out of my room, locked my door (it would be funny if I didn't) and then sneaked into his room. I immediately got under his bed and waited for him to come back in. While I waited, I remembered that I could have made it more interesting by connecting my phone's Bluetooth to his Bluetooth speaker and then play a scary sound when he's inside.

But I felt doing all of that would take more time and he might walk in before I'm done, so I decided to go stay under his bed instead and wait for him. About two minutes later, he walked in and went straight to his kitchen. He turned out he just finished cooking and had gone downstairs to get a soda. So I remained quiet and watched him as he served himself some food before walking over to his bed to sit on it.

He sat on his bed with his legs swinging comfortably, so I slowly stretched my hand and gave his legs a little rub. What followed next was a combination of him screaming and farting at the same time with his plate of rice scattered everywhere. He probably would had broken a world record that day on how fast he ran out of his room if he had been recorded.

He had ran out, screaming like a sissy and I remember I laughed so hard, tears rolled down my cheeks. That was definitely one of the best jumpscare I've ever done to anyone in my life and this was even better because it came with a lesson.

Never leave your door unlock when going out.

You brought a big smile to my face with your funny story. As a child I also liked to scare people to the point that my mom scolded me and told me to stop doing that as it was annoying hahaha .

I remember as a child I was cutting beets and I painted my hands red, then I told my sister that I had cut myself with the knife, the screams were not left waiting hahaha it was fun for me , NOT for her .

Even as an adult I still scare my husband and children from time to time.

It's always fun to scare people but never fun when we're the ones getting pranked or scared 😂😂

I'm glad my story made you smile 😁

Hahaha
I used to do that when I was a child but I stopped when my mom's heart began to palpitate...

How funny your jumpscares were. You really got your friend good and taught him a lesson that he won't forget. I'll bet he will lock his door going forward.

I remember as a child my family loved to scare each other and my mother. But then we found out she had heart problems, so we stopped.

Thanks for sharing your experiences. A good read. Take care and have a nice rest of your week.
