I think I Broke Something

A few days ago I spoke about how I've been trying to be healthy by lifting weights, but a few days later I now feel like I've done more harm than good.

You see, when I first started lifting weights, I had a friend who had little knowledge of it, and he had told me the few things he knew, which I did for that day, and everything went well.

Unfortunately for me, he had to go away for work, and when he came back, he fell ill and had to travel again for treatment. When he left for work, I had decided to pause a bit and wait for him, but then I knew that was just the laziness in my body advising me, so after a day of him not coming back on time, I had forced myself to lift the weight with no one to support me.

And rather than do what he had initially taught me to do, I decided to try something else, a different form. Mind you, I didn't do any special research on this new form to learn about it properly; I just remembered that I've seen people do it in the gym on TikTok a couple of times, so I just assumed it was a cool workout form.

Faat forward to two days later, and now it feels like I'm basically useless because I can't do anything with my hands. I can't wash my face; I can barely bathe myself due to the excruciating pain I feel every time I try to lift any of my arms.

At first I thought it was normal, seeing how this was the first time in a long time that I was lifting any form of heavy metal, but it's starting to get to that point where I'm starting to get scared that maybe I've spoiled something in my body.

Normally I would laugh in situations like this if it happened to someone else, but due to the fact that I'm the one feeling the pain, I can't even laugh.

Please is this normal, and will the pain stop if I continue to lift weights, or is my form just bad, and am I just causing myself unnecessary pain?

I'm asking because I need to know if I should take a break and continue later or just keep on going on the assurance that the pain will stop sooner or later.

😂keep on going ke. You had a wrist sprain.. lifting more weight will only make it worse and this is even if you can cos I don’t think you will be able to bear the pain.

You need to heal first, apply ice

The pain isn't on my wrist, but on my biceps. This is why I'm a bit confused because I do feel it's my body not being used to me lifting weights and trying to reshape itself.

That is weird , I only feel such pain after taking a long break from weight lifting and it doesn’t last more than few days.(not up to a week)

The pain is gradually getting less and less.. So I guess I was just being worried for nothing 😂😂
