Having Siblings

If there's one thing I will forever be grateful for, it's the fact that I have siblings that I grew up with. Because I honestly do think that having siblings that we grew up with is such an underrated thing that I feel we should talk more of and really appreciate.

I happen to come from a family of six (my mom and dad inclusive) with four boys and I've often times wondered how life would had been without my brothers in it. Yes I admit that during the years, we've had our fair share of ups and downs, the downs between myself and my siblings were mostly when my dad was not at home because we refuse to misbehave when the big man is around or we would all get in trouble.

Anyways, it was (and still is) mostly beautiful memories because my brother always had my back (and still do) and I honestly think that if they had not been in the picture, if it had been just me and my parents, life would had been very very boring. Although one positive side that I do think comes with being the only child is that you get to be super close to your parents because at that point they are your everything, your brother and your sister, everything.

But they still wouldn't be enough to fill up that empty space that you would feel every now and then and I say this from other people's experience because I've had friends who are only child and they all admit it at some point that it sucks being the only one at home because there are certain things that they might want to talk to people who are family but are not their parents, their siblings but they won't be able to do so because they don't have any.

So honestly speaking, I think one of the best gifts a parent could/can give to their kid is a sibling. I mean I have three other brothers and yet we complain (mostly as a joke to our parents) from time to time about not having a sister, someone we can protect from other guys and stuff. So yeah, if I'm asked to choose between being the only child or having siblings, I would go for the latter any time any day without any hesitation and that's a fact.

Thank you.

Siblings makes your growing up as a child fun, and also it helps in building your social life before you get to meet people outside because you guys can relate easily, unlike those children who are the only child, life would really be boring for them at home.

I'm also from a family of six with my parents inclusive. Your siblings are the ones who will support you when you are in need. Good siblings are far better than friends and I'm glad that I have the best ones

I agree with you that the best gift from our parents is our siblings. I have one brother and one sister. So I belongs to lucky people. I feel that they made my life more beautiful than expectations.
