Father Christmas

Today’s contest topic seem to have a special place in my heart because I happen to be that one guy who hardly gets gift from people no matter how small it is. Not even on my birthdays because we actually don’t celebrate birthdays at my home. This isn’t because of some religious belief or anything superstitious, my dad just didn’t see the need of doing that and we just grew up like that, never expecting anything on our birthdays.

Now that I think of it, it’s a bit sad and something I most definitely would change when I have a family of mine but then again, I don’t really think it’s a big thing but nothing beats creating memories with family.

Anyways, when it comes to gifting things to people, I get very excited because just like RobinHood, I don’t want anything from them in return, just the happiness and satisfaction that I see on their faces whenever I hand them the gift is more than enough for me.

One person I most definitely would love to give a gift is my dad and also my mom (if she still was alive). My parents laid all of the foundation that has shaped my life into the fine man I am today and for that I feel they deserve all of the gifts in the world. The next person I will be giving a gift is a friend of mine whose name is Frank.

I’ve once written about Frank and how he helped saved my admission into the university with his own money without asking a dime from me. Frank is that kind of person who we say is an angel in disguise and if I have five gifts to give, Frank would be getting three, if not everything.

The rest of the gifts would most likely be shared among families because there really isn’t much people out there (outside my family) who have done much for me. So yeah, that is how I would share my gifts if had some to give out.

P.S : Father Christmas also means Santa, the Nigerian version.

Family first my brother! Grand definitely would deserve a gift for saving you admission at school. He really deserves it. Thank you for sharing.

Mr. Frank must really be a good person. That kind of friend is rare, for someone to help process your admission with his own money. I must say he's one of a kind.

He didn't really help process it, he helped rectified an issue that would have made me go to another department if it had not been rectified.

But yes, he's a good man.

There are so many memories for kids that are tied to birthday gifts as they grow. I too, would like to do such for my kids as they grow up.

Putting a smile on another person's face should not be underrated. It is actually one of the great things to do in this life. Oh, how much of happiness you could instill in an individual by simply doing something really for them; with the expectation of nothing in return. 🤝😌👌

Frank must truly be an angel for doing such for you🙇‍♂️. Not many people can stake their lives for another person.
