Experiencing the night life

The other day I was on a video call with my dad and my brother and as expected, my dad had brought up the conversation about me not wanting to visit my aunt who stays not too far away from where I reside. Immediately I had countered his attack even before he attacked because I knew the next thing he was going to do was order me to go visit her.

I had raised the issue of insecurities in the state, insecurities that is obviously not from theives or the bad guys, but from the police itself. I had told him a story of a friend who got kidnapped by the police and locked up for days, luckily for him, on the way to the cell where they planned on locking him up, he had texted his siblings, letting them know of his situation.

That single act was what saved his life because when the officers discovered he had a phone on him, they had taken it from him and texted his siblings, giving them a different location just to throw them off the search. Unfortunately for them, the previous details my friend had sent was what was used to set him free.

And then I had proceeded to also tell him another story of a night where I had gone to a store to get something inside of my street, and a commercial bus had slowly driven past me, the inside of it filled with armed police officers who were out looking for young boys who "looked like criminals" to arrest.

Luckily for me they hadn't seen me and I had escaped that night. I had told my dad all of these things and my brother who also schooled here some years ago also confirmed my story, and that was more than enough reason to keep my old man from ordering me to leave the house, instead he began giving me tips on how to stay safe.

Now if you're wondering why I'm telling you all of this, it's because today's contest asks us what we would do if suddenly there are no borders or insecurities in the world, if we would travel around and explore. Now I probably might not travel all over the world because in as much as there ain't no borders or insecurities, it still cost money to move around.

But if there's one thing I definitely will do if the whole country is safe and I no longer have to fear about getting robbed by some bad guys or getting kidnapped by the police, I definitely would come out more and explore the night life in every city I find myself in.

And that is because I've come to realize that night life is a lot more interesting than I thought it would be. I once talked about escorting my friends to a public pool at night for a swim and I had a blast there, although we all had to say a silent prayer on our way back to not get stopped by the police.

Anyways, there you have it, I will go out if that happens and no, I don't see a world without borders or insecurities happening anytime soon.
