Everyone has their Limit
They say too much of everything is not good. I've always known that quote since forever but the truth was that I never looked at it from a deeper angle and had thought that "everything" didn't necessarily mean "everything" but I had been wrong.
I was talking to a friend of mine tonight who's currently having some money problem. For the past few months he has been finding it difficult to feed comfortably because he and his coworkers have not been paid for a while now at their place of work due to some issues.
Anyways, for the past few months his sister has been the one sending him money, money that he promises to pay back as soon as he starts getting paid. She has been doing this for the past three months now and according to my friend, he's getting tired of asking her for money.
He said the last time he had asked her for money, she had told him that if he wasn't family, she would have blocked him from communicating with her. She wasn't all that serious when she said it but he knew some part of her meant it and it broke him. So now he has made up his mind not to ask her for anything anymore until he pays back the one he has collected from her so far.
Hearing him tell that story made me feel sad for him because he knows that his sister is not to be blamed if she truly feels that way, because lending money from her was suppose to be a one time thing, and not a constant thing. But things didn't go his way and now even his own family, the one place he should feel safe to borrow from doesn't feel safe anymore.
That instantly made me remember the quote "too much of everything is not good" even when it comes to family because I use to think family was off-limit and I could do whatever I wanted as long as it's family, but the truth of the matter is that everyone has a limit and some might have high tolerance compared to the others, but if you keep on doing that thing and you don't stop, there's going to be a time where they get to their limit and block you off, irrespective of if you're family on not.
That is why at the end of the day, it's always best to take care of yourself by yourself because depending on anyone (even family) can be really dangerous sometimes. High tolerance level does not mean that they don't have a limit, everyone does.
There should be a limit for everything. We can't breach anyone's limit as we wand no one cross our limit. Whether it is family or it is public, high tolerance level is damaging we should behave everyone according to their level.
True.. Unfortunately not everyone knows this.. They think that when it comes to family, things should be limitless.
This post made morning Prayzz. It doesn't matter who you are consistently stalking wether a family member or a friend, everything should have limit indeed so we can as well maintain our respects.
If I were your friend, I will look for an alternative way of earning instead of consistently borrowing money for three consecutive months...that's pretty a long time ago. Paying back will be a problem even when his company finally pays the debts
Also, why not introduce him to hive? Just thinking though

I already told him about Hive but he's someone with a really busy schedule (he still goes to work) and just hasn't found time yet to focus on it.
Well, I would not blame the sister fir saying what she said. There are times when we feel bad because of what someone said to us but it may help us to become a better person. This may even motivate your friend to work harder

You're very right because he's more determined now than ever to make money some other way because he no longer wants to borrow from her.
Everything has a limit and asking for money every time make one person irritated even in family. The fact is fair in natural and that is each time family member won't be able to have because they also need money. I understand your friend lend money for not being paid but people won't love to help everytime when it's about money.
That's true.. He probably didn't know all of this and now that he does, he feels sad. Hopefully he learns from this and doesn't hate his sister.
Even within families, boundaries and limits exist. It's important to recognize that each person has their own capacity, and if someone continually exceeds those limits, it can strain the relationship.
