Doing things the professional way

Being a shy guy and all, it has always been a bit strange to me why I've always envied a life of fame but then I realized that though I might be too shy to go on events and talk to people, I love the attention. So I figured out at that young age that what I wanted the most was the attention and I started working towards it.

Back then, friends in high-school would always encourage me to go into comedy because they felt I was the funniest guy in class. I was a shy lad, but whenever I was in the midst of my friends and people I've known for a very long time, the shyness gets under control and the fun side of me comes out.

So I took their advice and started making videos and posting it on Instagram, back then tiktok wasn't a thing so it was either Instagram or Facebook, and Instagram was where the big boys were, so it was where I naturally was more drawn to. Of course my low quality videos with poor audio never gained traction and I soon lost interest in all of that.

But then tiktok came and it became this huge thing in the country. Before tiktok, the word influncers were mostly used by big shots people like popular actors and actresses or musicians, people who were at the top of their career and it wasn't a word that was thrown around lightly until the arrival of tiktok. It felt like they were giving it away freely and everyone soon became an influencer and I think that was the point where I felt like if this is what it takes to become an influencer, then I want nothing to do with it.

I'm talking about the crazy dance trends, the stupid pranks and all that. Up until then, I had only valued that word because I had thought that the people who earned the "influencer" title were people who were at the top of serious professions like music and acting, but seeing how you could easily become one with ten thousand followers just by doing some tiktok trend, it felt like the name dropped in value and the big guys just stopped calling themselves influncers, almost like they handed it to the kids of tiktok.

Will I want to be an influencer some day? The answer is yes but it depends on how I get there. I would love to become a professional actor influencing a brand, yes. And hopefully, I would be so successful in my career that I won't be that hungry to accept every brand deal that comes my way to influence because I feel this is what happens to the influencers we have now.

Most of them are motivated by greed so they don't care about the product they're influencing and if it really does whatever they claim it's doing, all they care about is getting paid and that's it. I wouldn't want to be someone like that because that's not the kind of person I am and I care.

Influence is both positive and negative, so is anyone called an influencer, he/she is either influencing people positively or negatively. I think anyone venturing into it should niche down on time, so they will be know a particular kind of content. You could also make a good influencer you know 🙂

I think as long as we have the smartphone in our hands, we have the possibility to be an influencer. Because of technological development, it has become easier than earlier times. But honestly, in the current time, most of the influencers only care about money, not about those who are following them.
Still we need good influencer and I hope you will be able to one of them. Best of luck to you.
