Crazy or Not

When it comes to superstitious beliefs, Africa is one place where it thrives the most, that's probably one of the reasons why we have a lot of churches here because it's really easy to tie anything that happens out of the ordinary to an extraterrestrial power or a higher power.

While I do admit that some of this stuff are crazy, there are certain superstitious beliefs that sometimes ends up making some sense to you after you experience things yourself.

My friend would always tell me that whenever his dad is planning something huge, he always keeps it to himself and doesn't say a word to his family, not because he doesn't trust them but because he believes that there are spirits hanging around that listens to our conversations and then go ahead of us to ruin our plans.

Now I know that sounds stupid especially if you live in a first world country where it's all about science and tech, but if you really do start to think real deep about these things, it might actually start to make some sense.

I have this friend who whenever he's expecting money or a huge deal for his business, he would always tell everyone around who cares to listen. He would tell us how much he's expecting and the day the money is expected to arrive and then suddenly when it gets to that day, something always goes wrong and the money never comes as planned.

This has happened to him about three times that I know of, the third one happening just about a week ago. So I had remembered what my friend told me about his dad and had approached this friend to give him a friendly advise. Yeah maybe saying this to someone else is crazy, but I did tell him to always try to keep his mouth shut when next he's expecting something and if he must talk, he should wait until he has the money in his bank account before making his usual announcement,because the truth is that not everyone is genuinely going to be happy for him when he is expecting something that good.

And even if none of them go behind him to sabotage his plans, there are some people with really strong spirits that could go sabotage it spiritually (without they themselves even knowing) and ruin everything because we do believe that the spirit controls the physical.

Anyways, like I said, I know to some of you this might sound crazy but I really do want to know what you guys think. Do you believe all this or is this just another crazy superstitious beliefs to you?
