Corruption
So the long awaited exam has finally started and it's going to be a busy few weeks for me, unfortunately things are no longer the way it used to be during the past exams.
Luckily for me, most of my exams were pushed to 1pm which means that I get to sleep as much as I want and wake up in time to go to school, but you see, there's a saying that when one problem goes down, another one comes up.
Apparently the lecturers have decided to be a bit more strict with the final year student than usual and by "the lecturers" I mean the corrupt one. We've written three exams so far and according to the rules of the school, each exam is expected to last for at least two hours before being asked to submit.
But that hasn't been the case for the past three examination we've written. The best we've had is an hour and thirty minutes and then that's it. At first we thought we had done something wrong to piss off these lecturers but then we soon found out that the only reason they all have decided to cut down on the time is because they want to make sure we don't have enough time to write in other to ensure that we go to their various offices after the exam to offer to bribe them.
It's one of those silly tactics that they use, especially for final year students like myself because they know that if anything goes wrong, we would be carrying over that course which also means that we would have to repay every fee that we had paid before, so therefore we have no choice but to bribe them.
When you look at it, it just shows you how much corruption has eaten deep into the educational system in this country and unfortunately no one is looking to put an end to this because reporting any lecturer would result to every other lecturer (the corrupt ones) hating on you which might also result to you never graduating from that school, so everyone just keeps quiet and endure until they leave the school.
It's sad but that's just it, everyone is looking after themselves and no one is trying to sacrifice themselves to be the hero and I honestly don't blame them because I also wouldn't want to do it either.

I wish I could give them punishment in my own hand. But it's not possible. But If all students become one then it will be a possible scenario.
If the students agree to come together, then yes, seeing a change is possible. But the students coming together as one is also an impossible thing because most of these students encourage the lecturers to continue doing what they do because they themselves do not read... So they would rather pay to pass.
Then nothing to say. How students can support that kind of action? I think most of them are dominated kind of students and I don't like those who don't have the power to speak for their rights.
Hmmmmm seeing examz it looks so strange to me🤣 wonder how it feels like writing one again
They is corruption in almost everything in Nigeria. Buhari said he wants to removed corruption rather he made situation of things far worst.
Corruption has been in the education system since like forever, just that now and during the tenure it is done without shame.
Yup, it is worse now because it doesn't even feel like corruption anymore.. It just feels like the normal way of doing things.
Haha exactly it has become a natural thing and habit of Nigerians doing something
