Consequences of our actions

It's crazy how the consequences of every action we take tend to find us no matter how long it takes. It's just like karma, it will always come knocking at one point.

I used to have a friend who I had introduced to Hive during the year 2021. He was one of those students who took care of about eighty percent (if not a hundred percent) of their school expenses. So I had introduced him to Hive to at least help him in some way. I remember I had told him back then that Hive wasn't one of those places where you come with the mindset of getting rich immediately but with time, he definitely would do better than he currently was.

So I had helped him open an account and he was doing well for a while but as usual, he got impatient and greedy just like most people new on Hive do and that was when the plagiarism started. He felt he needed to post regularly and ended up going online to steal content and as expected, he got caught and had to leave the platform.

Then he decided to go into internet fraud, of course I couldn't stop him so I gave him a bit of distance. I had tried my best in making him do things the right way and I had failed and so it wasn't any surprise to me when he got into fraud.

It didn't take long for things to go his way though, he began to make some money from fraud and probably felt that was the best decision he had taken but just like every dumb fraudster out there, he made some extravagant expenses, buying things he didn't need and just spending foolishly, not saving any penny. Forgetting that in the line of "business" that he was in, that kind of money doesn't come all the time.

But you see, he did well for about a year, occasionally scamming people off their hard earn money and not doing anything reasonable with it, until about last year when things started to go sideways. He didn't get arrested by the police or anything like that but "business" started to go bad and all of a sudden no one was paying him anymore.

It didn't take long for him to go broke and it took even a shorter time for him to start selling off all of the things he had bought with that fraud money. Fast forward to another year and some months and now he's completely broke with nothing left to sell. And what's even more sad is the fact that he has dropped out of school because he could no longer afford the many fees that comes with being a student.

If you ask me, it's such a bad end to a story that started on the right track. I feel sorry for him but unfortunately there's little I can do at the moment. He had made his bed, now it's time for him to lie on it.

That's a very sad thing and a wrong way for our young people to live. I see many of them here. One day they will be driving benz the next time they will sell it and buy smaller car because they needed money and their scamming business isn't moving so well.

I don't think he deserve sympathy. He is a cruel person otherwise he couldn't be a scammer. Whatever happening with him is very little. I think more worse condition is upcoming for him.
