Bad luck or spiritual attack

Ever since I became an adult, I've always tried to use common sense and try to see things without trying to be too spiritual and saying that something is being controlled by extraterrestrial powers, but some days, there are certain things that happens that just makes you question yourself and makes you ask the question you really don't want to be asking, questions like is this bad luck or spiritual attacks?

About two weeks back, I had made a post about a friend of mine who is currently going through some hard times and how myself with two other friends had come together to try to help find a solution to his financial problem. We had agreed to give him some amount of money every week for a month and in that month, he would try to get a job and just try to move on from there.

It was a good solid plan that was guaranteed to work if he could get a job, but you see, we decided not to leave the job part entirely to him, so while he went job hunting, we too were looking out for him. But you see, we started to notice some certain things that made us question if everything that was happening was just bad luck or spiritual attack.

The first sign that something was wrong somewhere was when one of my friends had decided to go talk to his boss about this guy who needed a job and just as his boss was about to find a spot for him, he traveled out of the country for vacation. We didn't think much about it at first because going on vacation is something normal for their kind of job but when we started to think more about it was when this friend eventually got a job offer at this hotel but about a day to his interview, he had received a call, asking him not to attend the interview anymore for no reason.

Then he got another job offer but couldn't attend the interview because he didn't have the outfit that was required for the interview. In a nutshell, it has been one excuse or the other and now we don't even know if this whole thing is natural or just some supernatural power trying to make sure this young man remains jobless and broke.

Over here in Nigeria, we would say that he's been followed by his village people because village people are generally perceived to be evil, although that's not entirely true, but in his case, it just might be.
