Anything for your boy?

I know that most people participating in today’s contest will no doubt be writing about the government officials in power and though I have more than a million things to say about my government, I won’t be focusing this post on them because those people are so dumb that even if someone puts their brains in birds, those birds will fly backwards.

Today I will be talking about our friend, the police. I call them our friend because the police always have this “police is your friend” slogan that they no longer use probably because they now know that no one wants to be friends with people like them.

Now before I go any further, I will like to acknowledge the fact that their are some really good and honest police men and women out there, I’ve encountered some of them who are really passionate about their jobs, unfortunately the bad eggs are more than the good ones and we know that all it takes is one bad deed to destroy hundred past good deeds.

“Anything for your boy” is unofficially the new slogan for the police force now. The slogan which is a question asking if you have anything for them, anything being money ofcourse is all they know now. No one cares anymore about their jobs. If I was a terrorist, I could literally walk into any state with as much explosives as I wanted as long as I had enough money to bribe my way through and that is why I’ve always maintained the fact that the current terrorist group disturbing the country is being sponsored by the government.

I say this because if this people were really serious about whatever it is they’re fighting for, they would have gone to other region of the country by now and not just dwell in the north. It’s almost as if they’re not trying to take over but just want to remain relevant enough to help the government keep on embezzling money that they must have borrowed from China and other countries in other for them to help “buy weapons for the fight against terrorism”.

Well, back to the police.

Like I was saying, all it takes for anyone to move whatever contraband they want in the country and probably do whatever they want is just having a lot of cash to bribe their way through. The crazy thing is that if you have enough money, you could even pay the police to help guide and escort you while you transport your material.

The only solution to this will be total rehabilitation for the entire police force, from the top to the bottom but then, I fear that wouldn’t work either. At this point, I don’t even know if there is a solution.
