Another day, another drama

Today was one of those days for me where I wake up and just feel like it's going to be a good day and I confirmed that when I heard that lectures had been cancelled because most of the lecturers had an event to attend to. It turned out that the dad of a very important person at the school had died and today's was the day there were laying him to rest.

Well, with nothing to do, I decided to go visit a good friend of mine. I had gone to his place for two reasons. The first had been for him to help me set up an account I've been trying to set up for a while now and the second was because I was hungry and wasn't about to start stressing my brain on what I should get for breakfast.

So I arrived at this friend's home and we immediately started setting up the account. But about halfway into it, I decided I couldn't take it any more and needed something to eat. It turned out this friend of mine was also in the same league with me, he hates having to think of what he could get for breakfast.

Well we finally settled on getting food in a restaurant down the street, so I dropped my phone in his room while he carried his. About ten minutes into our journey to the place, this hilux that is mostly used by the cops (I don't exactly know the name but it's kinda looks like the one in the image below) drove past us. It was filled with military men in military clothes, military guns and two guys not in military clothes.

They immediately grinded to a halt next to us and one of them motioned at us to come. We obeyed but they quickly asked me to leave and asked my friend to climb at the back of the hilux. I walked to a safe distance and watched as they questioned my friend while passing his phone around. I had no idea what they were saying to him but looking at him, I could tell he was uncomfortable and maybe scared.

I kept on looking at them, that was when I realized that the two other guys not on military uniform had also been arrested by these guys. Luckily for my friend, he was let go after he told them he had no money in his account and was willing to show them his bank account balance if they doubted him.

The whole thing was scary but we all thanked God we had escaped without getting dragged to the station or anywhere they usually extort money from people.

The strange thing was that they didn't even go through his phone, probably because he was the one offering to open his phone and hand it over to them.. So they probably figured that if he had something to hide, he wouldn't be offering to help input his password to enable them search the phone.
