A night to remember

The time is 12am on a Monday morning, and I currently have a mop in my right hand, a bucket of soapy water on my left, about to clean my friends vomit off the bed and floor. Let me tell you how I found myself in this messy situation.

Sunday is a day generally perceived as a fun day, so when I had gotten a text from my friend, asking me to come over to his place, I quickly took him up on his offer. Aside from my usual work on Sundays, I had nothing else planned for the day so why not?

I had gotten to his place some time past twelve in the afternoon and to my delight, the rest of the boys were there already waiting for me. You see, I've been having this feeling that this year would be the last time in a long time where I would get to be with all of the boys in the same place at the same time and this is because I plan on going for my national youth service corp program later this year, a program that would take me to a different state in the country for a whole year, so getting to spend any time with the boys nowadays is highly valued to me.

Well, after I got there, we had all gone into the kitchen to try to cook something and after that, they had decided it was a good idea to get alcohol and get drunk. Seeing how this was a once in a while kinda thing, it was a welcomed idea to me, but then I remembered that I had work to do later tonight so I refused to engage in the drinking, but instead had offered to be the photographer for the day and trust me when I say I took lots of embarrassing videos of the lads, videos that they will be surprised to see when they get sober in the morning.

Anyways, fast forward to tonight and the boys were beginning to get slow. The alcohol was now fully in their system and the hyper stage had passed, now they were beginning to regret the decision and the whole thing was funny to me until one of them decided it was a good idea to empty the content of his stomach on the bed, the same bed we planned on sleeping on tonight.

Now it's past 12am and I have a mop in my hand, trying to clean up their mess and from the looks of things, I will be sleeping on the floor too. Yup, this definitely would be a night to remember.
