A new phone and a tripod stand

Sometimes, bad things happen so as to push us to make certain decisions that would bring about good things in our lives. This is a story about two particular things that I've bought in the past, one of them ended up being a good purchase and the other a bad one.

You know how you feel like some days are just not your day due to the many bad things that's happening to you on that day, well that was how I felt the night my mobile phone just went off and refused to turn back on. I was doing some late night work on my phone and just as I was about getting done, my phone went off and refused to turn on. When I took it to the repair shop the next day, the guy at the shop had told me the cost it will take to repair that phone and that was when I decided to make a decision of my own.

You see before that time, I've always had plans of getting myself a brand new mobile phone but for some reason I just kept on postponing the idea probably because the phone I had was still in perfect condition, so there wasn't any reason to get a new one. But when this phone went off last year and refused to come on, I took it as a sign and instead of getting it fixed, I opted to get a brand new one instead. And trust me when I say that was the best decision I took, because it was the best and that is because up till this day, I'm still glad I got this phone at the time I did and I still enjoy using it.

But you see, not everything I've bought in the past has turned out as good as the mobile phone and if I remember correctly, one thing I did buy that ended up being a waste of money and also a reminder of my failure is a tripod stand.

I've always been that guy who has the passion to stand in front of the camera and make contents. But for years now I've been procrastinating and blaming my ability of not being able to make contents on my lack of equipments. So when I eventually had some little money to spend, I had quickly gotten myself a little tripod stand and a microphone. But I soon realized that my lack of equipment had nothing to do with my failure.

It didn't take long for the tripod to break (it was fake) and now it's just lying at one corner of my room, reminding of how much of a failure I am everyday whenever I look at it. That to me is the worse purchase I've made that I can think of because it made me realise the truth, which is that I don't really need to have everything figured out to start, I just have to start, be consistent and watch everything fall in place with time.
