A Memorable Walk
I've always told my friends that I've never really been out on a date before, and this was because to me back then, a typical date was going for lunch or dinner. But then I got to understand that that, along with many other things are also considered as dates. A good example is going out to the cinema with her, hiking or even spending time together either at your place or at her place are all dates.
A little smile appeared on my face when I realized this because what that meant was that I could now proudly tell my friends that I have, as a matter of fact, gone out on a date before. Now for many of you who might be wondering why this is even a discussion (probably because of how common going out on dates is to you guys), well over here, we really don't do much of that and this is probably because to every guy, dates are expensive because a Nigerian woman will always look for ways to suck you dry lol.
Anyways the first date I ever went on was with a course mate of mine. I had this huge crush on her and wanted to date her but I just was finding it difficult to get her to say yes. And then one evening, out of the blue, she called and asked that we went for a walk. It was a surprise to me but a good surprise, so I said yes, got dressed and moved out.
We met and just took a stroll round our school, it was probably one of my most memorable moments with her because we got to talk and know more about each other. I remember thinking that she definitely definitely will be my girlfriend seeing how she chose to go on a walk with me instead of the many other guys probably asking her out.
Well that ended up not being the case because when I finally asked her to be my girlfriend (about a week later), she had refused. She didn't really say No but she didn't say yes either and one thing I know is that if it's not a yes then it's a no, no matter what she says or how she says it.
Anyways that was my first date and even though the end result wasn't in my favor, the date was a memorable one.
