A Family Away from Home
Today was probably one of the most fun filled day that I've had in weeks and surprisingly, I did all of that without even stepping out of my room.
About a month ago, I had thought that I would be in my exam hall today, sweating and trying to write whatever it is that comes to my head but then Nigeria happened and as usual, my exam got postponed. It's been over a month now since it was postponed and we just received another memo, informing us of the postponement getting extended for another two weeks. So what that meant was that I get to just sleep, wake up, eat and repeat for another two weeks.
Now as someone who's always indoors, I knew it was going to be a long two weeks for me but it seems like my friends had other plans for me today. Earlier today, three of my friends had paid me a visit, making my whole day a whole lot fun than I ever thought it would be.
And while we were having all of that fun, I took a moment to just look at everything happening around me and how happy I was and enjoying the moment. The guys in that room are like brothers to me and I'm very happy that I got to meet and be friends with everyone of them the time I did.
We had gotten some drinks and played some games but just as one of us was scrolling through his phone, he saw a headline news of someone who was poisoned by a friend of his out if jealousy. Unfortunately, his girlfriend had also drank from his cup so they both died. The moment my friend read out the headline, I could tell we were all thinking the same thing and it's really sad that instead of people to spend good times with their friends and be happy like I and my friends are, they're busy hurting themselves.
We all know the world is evil and we're to trust no one, but it's really sad that it has gotten to this level. I do really hope and pray that my friends and I never get to a stage where we want to hurt each other, but we continue laughing together and having all the fun we possibly can because today was fun-filled and I don't mind tomorrow being the same.
Friends are nice to have around, they are like family. It is so lovely that your friends decide to visit.

It's good and bad at the same time. Because it gives us a good feeling when exam time is delayed but at the same time it wastes our valuable time also and it's not good for us.

Exactly. Because on one hand you get more time to prepare and do whatever it is you want to do while on the other hand, you just want to be done with it and go home.
I don't know how you do it ,but for me knowing fully well my exams are around the corner l won't have a goodnight rest. I'm always restless, I feel that I haven't finished reading up yet.
Well I thank God I'm not like that because this past one month would have been terrible for me 😂.
