A Born Follower
Sometimes, it's not like someone doesn't want to do what's right; they just don't know what to do. There are people out there who prefer to be followers, not because they hate leading, but because they know where their strength lies. These are people who, when left on their own, would look like they're useless, like their life is falling apart, but the moment you point them towards the right decision, and you tell them what to do, they could end up becoming the best at that thing.
This is because they listen and know how to follow instructions very well but not make the instructions themselves. Unfortunately, when we meet some of these people, we don't find out on time the kind of people they are, so we think they're just dumb people and can't be good at anything, when that isn't always the case.
And the reason I know this was due to a situation that happened a few weeks ago between my friend and his roommate.
It was a situation concerning water usage. Unfortunately, we haven't had electricity for a while now, and what that means is that you either manage the water you have saved at home or walk down a two-story building to go fetch some more water downstairs.
Well, his roommate had used all the water that morning and left him without saying a thing about replacing it. When my friend walked into the room and discovered this, he was furious. When his roommate got back a few minutes later, I was the first person to see him and called him to the side.
I spoke to him about the situation with a gentle, calm voice and discovered that he had no intentions to cause any trouble and didn't even know what he did was wrong. After we spoke, and I told him about the right way to go about the water issue to ensure that they both don't get into an altercation because of it, everything has been fine ever since.
And I see him doing the exact same thing I had advised him on. In that case, he didn't know the right thing to do, but when I pointed him towards the right decision and told him how to do it, things have been flawless ever since. Proper communication and good directions were all they both needed to make things right.

That's true. I also have seen some person like that. The can't they the lead position but they can do the task accurately if we give them a work to do.
Exactly. This is why I feel like common sense isn't always common all the time.. Because some of these people don't know the common thing to do, but will do it when told.
