Information war

We cannot go around it anymore, this era is one of a war of information. No war for information, but one in which information or disinformation is the weapon.
The “Twitter Files” are a big example of how some information was withheld from users of the platform in an attempt to change the voting pattern of the public.

But we can’t be ignorant and think the “Twitter Files” are an isolated case. That would be very naïve. The war of information or the lack of information is happening all over every media platform and is influential to all of us. Even if we think it doesn’t.

Fake news is not the biggest problem

Fake news is an issue that needs a lot of attention, but there’s even a bigger issue. The “Fact checkers” are all over the place these days. But who are they? And what gives them aura of being trustworthy? That is the important part of the discussion. What news is fake and what isn’t? And how can we be sure that Fact Checks aren’t fake too?

We have to do our due diligence there too, not only with the news, but also with the fact-checks! Question every single news fact and be critical! Search for the truth through as many sources as possible, and extract your own truth from it…
