The end of financial freedom
Today the European Central Bank and its chairwoman, Christine Lagarde, released a “propaganda” video about the planned Central Bank Digital Currency in the EU: The digital EURO.
Lagarde states with a broad smile in the video that the preparation phase of the Digital Euro has started.
There is no way back anymore. The monster is coming. Even though Lagarde states that cash as we know it will not disappear, and people will have the choice to choose between cash and digital cash, we all know that will not be the case.
Orwellian
The truth is that CBDC’s are an Orwellian nightmare. Currencies will be programmed, in all possible ways. It will programmable in time, so currency could have an expiry date for instance.
CBDC can control on what items you spend your money. So, in theory, a budget for alcohol, fuel, food, etc… is a perfect possibility.
This is the end of financial freedom as we know it. People will not be free anymore on what they spend their hard earned money. Governments will have complete supervision on what people spend their money on. Privacy will become non-existent.
This is a sad day for Europe and its citizens!

Noise. CBDCs are going to be an epic failure. The EURO is cooked anyway, digital or not. Europe will not survive, at least in its present for, the next financial collapse.

No matter how hard the banks try, people have lost faith in them because people have suffered huge losses and now people are only trusting digital currency.
