1.9 Billion Euros

Two South-African brothers have done the biggest crypto heist in history. The brothers Ameer and Raees Cajee, used their investment fund Africrypt to get people to invest in an AI driven platform to trade with profits promised up to 10 % per day. Apparently they persuaded enough people to invest a total of 69000 Bitcoin in their program. In April they sent a message to their investors that their fund got hacked and all coins were lost. They even stated in the message NOT to warn the police or take other actions because that would make things "more difficult". Another red flag for the investors of which most contacted a lawyer and prosecuted the firm. Now there is no trace of the brothers nor the coins. There are signs that the some of the coins already went into a "mixer" and are probably lost forever.

At the time of the hack, Bitcoin was at its highest point and the total of the coins was worth over 3 Billion Euros. An incredible heist, probably the biggest in history, at least in Dollar or Euro value.

Beware in what you invest people, rewards of 10 % per day are just too good to be true. And when it is too good to be true, it probably is!
