Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard has officially announced his retirement as a professional football player. At the age of 32! 6 months ago Real Madrid released him, by donating him 7 million EUR to leave the club.

Eden at Chelsea, where he was unstoppable

Hazard has earned huge amounts of money with only 3 different clubs. Lille OSC in France was his first professional contract where here earned 2.7 million in his last two seasons, then he got transferred to Chelsea FC in London, where he started at 5 million in his first year, and ended with 13 million in his last season. Real Madrid was the next stop, where he got a contract for 27 million per year for 4 years. Sadly, injuries ruined his stay in Madrid, but still got paid.

Then there were personal sponsor deals with Nissan, Nike and Gilette, amongst others. Those also brought in millions for him.

Smart guy

As a smart guy, Eden Hazard didn’t spend all his money on wacky clothes and expensive parties and trips. He did buy a Lamborghini Aventador and an Aston Martin Vanquish, but thos he sold already.
Instead of that he bought real estate in the expensive neighbourhood of Cobham in London, and a massive 9 million EUR finca in Madrid, where he still lives.

Estimates say that Eden Hazard is worth around 100 million these days, even without his real estate.
Lots of professional athletes should take a good look at how Eden does it, because almost half of them are bankrupt within 3 years of retirement.
