My first two days on the Wim Hof Method…

What to expect and … when?

I expected the cold showers to be the hardest part of this method, but surprisingly the cold showers have been a bliss, except maybe for the first 15 seconds, but once your body temperature has adapted it is really fun and extremely energising afterwards.
The breathing exercises are a bit harder to incorporate in my daily routine. The forced hyperventilating is a bit harder than I expected, but today was already easier than yesterday. The lightheaded feeling afterwards is strange but apparently normal and should diminish after more training.

What am I feeling after these two days?
I feel energetic after the cold showers, and this feeling lasts for about an hour or so. My stress management is still at the same level and fatigue during the day hasn’t changed yet, but we can’t expect miracles after only two days.

On to the next exercises!

Yep, I am going all the way with this one together with meditation. I am quite sure it will both benefit my mental and physical health!

I can’t take cold showers where I live. At best, it would be a cool shower. Maybe even a tepid shower.
