Voting

Voting posts or curation as it is more appropriately pronounced is a part of the Hive eco-system. It is actually the center point of the entire eco-system. But not everyone on this platform is fully aware of how profoundly this is changing lives all over the planet. When you vote on someone's post, you are actually giving away money to this person. 50 % of the value of you vote goes directly to this person. Whether you like it or not. And approximately 50 % returns back to you, depending on who and how much votes follow your vote. But it is the first part that is magical to me. We are all small Robin Hood's over here, with the exemption of stealing from the rich. But we all are redistributing wealth. And for that reason I am very careful in my curation. Which I will explain in the next paragraph.

What or Who do you vote for?

I have people in my feed that get the most of my votes, for example @cryptoandcoffee, and the reason is that this person always writes very good content with great information, that I didn't always know about. His posts are very thorough and well investigated, so the upvotes are well deserved. But I also vote a lot for smaller accounts too, some of them are just taking their first steps on this platform. And they need encouragement. And that is good, not only for them, but for the entire platform. The more people that are active, the better it is for the entire eco-system. That is why I encourage people to look for the smaller accounts and pick out the posts that are promising for the future. This will not only benefit them, but also you. As I have seen, that those people tend to be very grateful for getting that encouragement, and repay that in the long run.

Think about who you vote for, be a Robin Hood!
