600 Billion

Elon Musk is as of yesterday the very first man to be officially worth 600 Billion US Dollars. Nobody has ever been that rich before. Not even close!

Elon Musk is so rich that he could pay for:

• tuition-free public college
• universal childcare
• close the cap to fund universal school meals
• paid sick leave
• ending homelessness
• ending hunger
• UBI of $1250 for every adult

...and he'd still be a billionaire.

That is of course a socialist view of things. But still, one would wonder why Musk doesn’t do things with his money that make things easier for other people. For instance, set up a fund for start-up companies. Or give micro loans to homeless people, etcetera

Just thinking out loud here, and hoping Elon is a bit more altruistic!
