Sideways Hive

Hive has been moving sideways for months now, even the upwards movement of Bitcoin to 70000 USD hasn’t moved Hive in a substantial way.

There is a reason for that, the sell pressure is too high with Hive. And that sell pressure must come from somewhere.

My biggest guess is that the few whales that have the lion’s part of Hive in their hands and staked, are powering down consistently and are in that way feeding the sell pressure of Hive and keep the price of Hive down. This despite all the Hive Power Up Days that have been organised on this blockchain.
The whales are still outweighing the dolphins and smaller fish put together. And the way things are going this will stay like this for a few more years.

There is another way

If those whales would act a little smarter, the would dry up the sell pressure slowly by powering down less and less. This would create a natural growth of Hive’s price and would have as an effect that they would need to sell far less Hive for the same amount of USD. Hive grows bigger and bigger and the snowball effect would attract more users which would feed the buy pressure of Hive which would once again make Hive’s price rise!
