Belgian politicians are laughing in the face of their voters!
1 week after terrorist attack in Brussels
Last week on Monday, a radicalised muslim shot 3 Swedish football fans in Brussels, of whom 2 died. The Swedes were there for the football game between Belgium and Sweden, for the European qualifiers.
Abdeslam Lassoued was illegal in our country and escaped his homeland Tunisia because of a 26 year prison sentence for attempted murder. Our Belgian government almost fell because of it, the minister of justice had to step down because of the blatant mistakes that were made in this situation.
And then 8 days later, the Brussels parliament posts this on X:
A trip to Sydney with 300 people
The complete Brussels parliament and the King and Queen together with an immense following left Belgium for a “business” trip to Sydney, to learn in Australia about green energy and carbon reduction.
There sure didn’t go there with a rowing boat, so loads of carbon will have to be reduced to counter the CO2 that was produced by this trip.
This costs huge amounts of money for the Belgian taxpayers and this all in times where our country is in a huge crisis.
It is an utter disgrace, and a smack in the face for the Belgian voter!
Politicians and monarchs are more and more distanced from the real world. This cannot end well…
Sincerely,

I strongly agree. This and worse is the situation in my country, Nigeria as well. It's not sad, it's frustratingly irritating and worse - it's as if there's nothing we can do about it.
Social contract is a myth over here, I only wonder why we still call ours a democracy, but then again, it'll take people with a moral compass to have the dignity of calling a spade a spade.
This reply has triggered me to write a post on this.
One love Pele.
It's just like these politicians can do anything for their own benefit. People's lives don't matter to them. They do everything for their own benefit.
