Apparently, the Super League isn’t dead and buried!

Super League by 2024/25?

Bernd Reichart, the new manager of A22 Sports Management, the company behind the Super League format has spoken out today. He claims that the interest in the project is still very strong. He says the plans for the format have changed to please the public, so the closed competition format has been erased. There are options for new teams entering the Super League every season.

An economic necessity

Reichart says a new format is an economic necessity as the current economy in football is unsustainable. Most top teams are making a loss every year due to extreme high wages for the players.
The question is, will that change when a new format is created? Won’t the teams be doing the same thing but on a bigger scale? Isn’t it time for a healthier economy in international football where more sustainable wages are paid and extreme losses aren’t tolerated any more?

Bernd Reichart

In my opinion a Super League won’t change a thing, except making the gap between the big and the smaller clubs bigger.

For me a Super League is a big nono!

Sincerely,
